Estonian broadcaster ERR has revealed the first twelve semi-finalists for Eesti Laul 2020, the selection method used to determine the Estonian Eurovision act. The semi-finals of Eesti Laul will take place in February.
Here are the first twelve participants:

- SHIRA – Out in Space
- Jaagup Tuisk – Beautiful Lie
- Little Mess – Without a Reason
- Ziggy Wild – Lean on Me
- Uku Suviste – What Love Is
- Traffic – Üks kord veel
- Rasmus Rändvee – Young
- Mariliis Jõgeva – Unistustes
- Renate – Videomäng
- Laura – Break Me
The most notable returning artist in the line-up is Laura, who has represented Estonia at Eurovision twice. The first time was part of the girl group, Suntribe in 2005, and then she represented Estonia in 2017 alongside Koit Toome with the song Verona. Both entries failed to reach the final.
